Community Arts Project

The Community Arts Project became the new name for two existing non-profit organizations that completed a merger in July 2009. Creative Art Exchange and The Children’s Arts Project discovered many synergies while working side by side in the Cornelius Arts Center. After an extensive Study Committee, collaboration between the Boards of Directors and with the guidance and support of the Arts and Science Council they decided to become one non-profit entity. They are very excited about the possibilities this merger brings and look forward to providing amazing art experiences to students from 18 months to Adults in the Cornelius Arts Center and within in the community for years to come.

The Community Arts Project offers a full service visual art center for the people of the Lake Norman area. We support the growth of artists of all levels of ability through art education. We seek to bring together the diverse communities of Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, northern Charlotte, Concord, Mooresville, Lincolnton and beyond through art events and activities.

Hours & Admission

Monday through Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm Friday and Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
