Studio-C Cinema

Studio-C Cinema presents feature-length independent, documentary, foreign, classic, and art films. Most films are recent releases, have won awards, appeared in numerous international film festivals. Many have made their first appearance in North Carolina. Studio-C Cinema is in partnership with the Cornelius Art Center. Tickets are $5 - $11 and are available in advance on the Studio-C Cinema website or at the Art Center front desk. There is no membership fee. Studio-C Cinema employs a professional Blu-Ray HD projector on a 16 ft. cinema screen with a 5.1 surround sound system. Studio-C Cinema promotes cinema as a unique event on weekends throughout the year. It offers complementary wine & cheese receptions before the films, providing film-lovers an excellent opportunity to meet others who enjoy unique art films. Optional discussions follow screenings, occasionally led by experts in the film's topic. Studio-C Cinema patrons are free to browse the Cornelius Art Center gallery. Studio-C Cinema hosts special topic mini film festivals, and conducts workshops and seminars in cinema history, film culture and filmmaking. It presents occasional free screenings of special films on topics of current and historical importance.
