Wing Haven is two public gardens -- Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary at 248 Ridgewood Avenue and the Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden at 348 Ridgewood Avenue. The gardens provide an urban recreational and educational resource in the heart of one of the South's largest metropolitan cities. Wing Haven provides a natural oasis for reflection and study, and programs and events annually for both children and adults. We also provide outreach to at-risk preschool children through our PEEPs (Preschool Environmental Education Program) initiative. Garden Open Hours Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission $10, children 10 and under free.
Mission Statement: Cultivating sanctuary in nature, environmental stewardship and the legacy of Southern horticulture.
With heavy hearts, Wing Haven has made the decision to close our office and the gardens to help protect our community. We will open again as soon as possible as a place of respite and peace. For now, we feel this is best for the safety of the community. Take care, and we hope to see you in the gardens again very soon.
