This course teaches digital photography and visual storytelling. Covering transitioning from Auto to manual mode, exposure triangle, composition, and selecting subjects to further the visual narrative goals. The class will aim to amplify each students story visually. The prerequisite for the course is a digital camera, whether an iPhone, iPad, point-and-shoot, or DSLR. They will learn to capture purposeful images, delving into visual storytelling with photowalks covering landscapes and architecture, and practice portrait sessions. Homework assignments, image reviews, artist statements, vision boards, and shoot planning are included. The course culminates in a student art exhibition on August 30th.
This class is every Tuesday, July 9th through August 30, 10 am. - 12 pm.
