Carolina Renaissance Festival

Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival- it is a medieval amusement park, a 14-stage theater, a 25-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure!

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is one of the most interactive entertainment shows ever created with wonderful amusements and antics ongoing all around you! You can sit back and watch, or you can become a part of the action, surrounded by over 500 costumed characters roaming the festival village.

Parking & Transit

From Charlotte: Take Interstate 85 North to Exit 52 West (Poplar Tent Road). Follow Poplar Tent Road about 5 miles to the Festival entry on the left. The entrance road will be just before the intersection of Highway 73. Or Take Interstate 77 North to Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Greensboro: Take Interstate 85 South, just past Kannapolis to Exit 55 west (NC 73). Follow the signs west 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn left onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Winston-Salem: Take Interstate 40 to Interstate 77 South. Take Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. Speedway Traffic: If the Festival coincides with an event at the speedway, Interstate 77 can be used as an alternate route for Interstate 85.
