Queen City Brass Band

The Queen City Brass Band is a community musical ensemble in the British brass band tradition. The group is made up of about 28 volunteers, including both professional and amateur musicians whose primary motivation is the love of music and sharing that music across the Charlotte and surrounding region.

The instrumentation of the QCBB consists of cornets, flugelhorn, tenor horns in Eb, baritones, trombones, euphoniums, tubas and percussion. This unique blend of brasses and percussion allows a very wide range of musical styles. Included in the band's repertoire are original works for brass band, orchestral transcriptions, show tunes, jazz and pop standards, fanfares, marches and hymns.
