Lake Norman Orchestra
Lake Norman Orchestra is an all-volunteer adult community orchestra whose mission is to both provide a venue for musicians to continue their love of music, and to bring the magic of music to the Lake Norman community. It is open to all musicians 18 and older, who play strings, woodwinds, brass or percussion. There are currently over 65 active members ranging in age from 18 to 70+, with a few younger musicians who exhibit exceptional talent. Many families participate in the orchestra, including husband/wife and parent/child. LKNO performs a variety of concerts each year around Lake Norman, both indoors and out. Our music programs include classical, Broadway and pops selections, and are funded by grants, corporate and individual donations and ticket sales.
