Holiday Wish Foundation

The mission of the Holiday Wish Foundation is to enhance the presence and advancement of marginalized communities in the arts and business sectors of Charlotte. We achieve this by implementing various programs, including:

Queen Sugar Bash: This initiative aims to increase visibility and support for LGBTQ+ performing and visual artists by providing opportunities for them to showcase their talents and build networks within the community.

Monthly Community Service: As a community-based pop-up store, Poor No More offers essential resources such as food, clothing, and household items completely free of charge, ensuring that individuals in need have access to these necessities.

Holiday Wish Gala: This event serves as both a fundraiser and recognition ceremony, with the objective of granting additional visibility, development, and financial support to outstanding yet underfunded LGBTQ+ businesses owned by people of color.

Coming Soon: Kuumba Academy is a 12-month fellowship program that will soon be launched. It aims to provide artistic and professional development opportunities specifically tailored to visual and performing artists of color in Charlotte. Through this initiative, participants will receive comprehensive training and support to enhance their skills and career prospects.
