Red Calaca Mobile Art Studio
The Red Calaca Studio is a mobile art studio that will bring arts programming in the form of artist led activity workshops to areas of Charlotte. The Mobile Art Studio is a 24’ step van (similar to a “Food Truck”) that is outfitted with lights, speakers, an LCD TV Monitor, and an 8’x8’ awning. The van is able to bring a wide variety of workshops including visual arts, music, performing arts and cultural heritage programming to targeted locations. The mobile art studio is outfitted to support public art projects such as murals and small public performances. The mobile art studio will also provide artists with the ability to connect with the community and to engage them directly in the arts in their own neighborhoods.
