David Bachman

David Bachman is an artist who works exclusively with Photography, both Digital and Film; on Land and Underwater.  By exploring the concepts of Landscape, Nature, and the Sea in an everyday, nostalgic way; Bachman captures and creates images that deal with the documentation of events and moments; and the question of how they can be presented.  His photos express this through the physical capture of light, color, texture, time, motion, and mood; by telling a story or creating a memory.

His works establish a link between Nature’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver.  Moments are depicted that seduce the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium that conveys the stream of daily events and moments; in order to clarify existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life.  His photographs are an investigation into representations of situations as well as depictions and ideas that can only be realized in photography.  David Bachman currently lives and works in Charlotte, NC.
