WOW: Week of Outstanding Writing

Do you have a budding author in your family who is a rising 5th -8th grader? If so, you’ll want your son or daughter to join author Carol Baldwin for a fun, hands-on writing camp that will stretch imaginations, promote creativity, and deepen writing skills. We will lay the groundwork by acquiring tools such as Learn from Literature; Exercise Muscle Words; and Show, Don’t Tell. From there, students will create an authentic character, a sensory setting, and a believable plot. Each student should bring a laptop, iPad, or tablet to facilitate the writing/revising experience. Please let us know if your child does not have a device and VisArt will provide one. Registration is limited to 15 participants so grab your tickets now! This camp is fit for 5th – 8th grade campers and runs daily June 17th – June 21st, 9am – 1pm.
