Lavagem Celebration

Thursday, April 11 through Sunday, April 14
The Mint Museum
Presented by Moving Spirits, Inc.

The Lavagem Celebration builds community by nurturing, celebrating and supporting authentic African-Brazilian and Indigenous (Caboclos) cultures and creative expression. The event serves all communities in Charlotte, but is especially designed to uplift Indigenous communities, the African-Brazilian community and all communities of the African diaspora. This Lavagem is a means of caring for community and a celebration of resiliency and resistance.
