Capoeira Saturdays with Queen City GINGA Project

Through Saturday, December 19
This is a virtual event taking place online. Check below for details on how to access and/or register.

Participants will be exposed to the fundamental movements and elements of capoeira including learning about the history and culture of the art form. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines music, dance, acrobatics, and dance developed by Enslaved Africans and Indigenous peoples. This unique art form is the only martial art where men, women, and children compete together to rhythmic sounds. All ages welcome.

Sponsored by CULTURE BLOCKS, a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.
