How healthy is Charlotte? Decisions in the past made Charlotte what it is today. Decisions we make now will shape our health and well-being far into the future. Join an interactive session about our community’s collective health at #ShapingCLT. Hear local advocates discussing how Charlotte is doing with:

  •          Access to healthy activities 
  •          Access to nutritious food 
  •          Access to a healthy environment                           
Our collective sense of happiness and well-being 

    Food, games, and activities will move the conversation along. Attendees will leave the program with simple, actionable steps to make Charlotte a healthier place to live.

    A do-it-yourself social change toolkit,#ShapingCLT is a solutions-oriented variety show aimed at vanquishing apathy. The examination of Charlotte’s future will move participants beyond conversation towards civic action. this guest-curated program will bring together thought leaders in our community representing a variety of perspectives on trending issues.

    All programs are hosted by Davita Galloway of Dupp&Swat. Each program is $10 for non-members (25% discount for members) and includes program, light bites, and a cash bar. Space is limited, reservations required. #ShapingCLT takes place one Wednesday per month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Levine Museum of the New South.

    Parking & Transit

    Parking:

    On weekdays, Levine Museum provides visitors 2 hours of validation for parking in Seventh Street Station parking deck, which is located next to the museum. After 2 hours, regular parking fees apply.

    On weekends and for evening events, the museum provides parking validation, with no hourly limit.

    Visitors should present parking ticket for validation at the Guest Services desk upon arrival.

    Directions:

    From I-77 North, take John Belk Freeway / I-277 North (exit 9B) to the College Street exit. Take College Street (one-way) to 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street. The Museum is on the right, on the corner of College and 7th, with the entrance facing 7th Street.

    From I-77 South or I-85, take I-77 South to Brookshire Freeway (exit 11). Take Brookshire Freeway East / I-277 South (exit 11A). Take the Church/Tryon Street exit onto 11th Street. Turn right onto Tryon Street. Turn left onto 7th Street. The Museum is on the right, on the corner of College and 7th, with the entrance facing 7th Street.
