On May 5 from 9:00 AM until Noon, distinguished botanist Larry Mellichamp will be hosting a lecture & hands-on workshop about gardening in the Queen City. Dr. Mellichamp is well known for his involvement with UNC Charlotte’s botanical gardens and as the author of Native Plants of The Southeast. 

Whether you are new to town or have been here all your life, you will learn something new from this interactive program. Larry will discuss pruning, bulbs, soil types, local weather, and many other topics as well as take your questions. 

Reservations are required, as space is limited to 15 people. Reservations are only $20*. That is less than half of what some other venues charge for similar events!

From 74 East/Independence Blvd. : Take I-277 North/Brookshire Frwy/NC-16 North Take exit #3B towards Brevard St/Tryon St/Davidson St (NC-49) Continue on E 12TH St. Turn R on N Tryon St. From I-85: Take Exit #41 (Sugar Creek Road) Go East. At the intersection to North Tryon Street turn right. Historic Rosedale is 1 mile on your right.
