Charlotte Woodcarvers Club
Charlotte Woodcarvers Club is a not-for-profit 501-c4 organization. The Club was founded in 1982 by Lee Dukes, for the purpose of advancing the art of woodcarving. As a club, throughout the year we educate younger generations and teach the art of woodcarving from beginner to advanced at places such as public at fairs, green markets, and festivals. We also work with Scouting programs and in classroom settings. Our club’s mission is to promote the art of woodcarving. We have an annual Showcase in Charlotte at the CPCC campus which FREE to the public to come see creative results and the opportunity to speak to over 100 carvers.
Annually, we hold a woodcarving show in Charlotte, NC. This show is the largest in the Southeast. Our 2024 show included over 765 carvings from 121 carvers with $2,500 in prize money handed out the best carvers.
