CharlOz

CharlOz is a three-day, interdisciplinary festival hosted in collaboration with UNC Charlotte academic departments and the J. Murrey Atkins Library, ImaginOn: the Joe & Joan Martin Center, Children's Theatre of Charlotte, The International Wizard of Oz Club, the Land of Oz theme park, Blumenthal, 7th Street Market and others – that intends to explore not only how Baum’s fairy tale celebrated non-traditional gender roles, diverse characters, and valuable lessons, but also explore how Oz has changed to continue to reflect America, her values and her diversity.
