Decoda in Concert, presented by 7th Street Concerts
In an ecstatic celebration of creativity, Decoda appears in Charlotte for the first time to present a varied and colorful program as part of Charlotte SHOUT! featuring string quartet plus bassoonist Brad Balliett. Playing music spanning from Elgar to Carolina Shaw, this exciting program will also feature a brand new, world premiere work composed by YOU! That's right- if you attend our SHOUT! Music and Technology Hackathon, you can join a workshop led by Decoda to unlock your own creative potential and see something you've helped create on the big stage. Be part of creating a little piece of Charlotte SHOUT! and celebrate your own creativity alongside the creativity of many other great composers and performers. Register for the Hackathon for free at 7thstreetconcerts.org. Of course, you don’t have to attend the hackathon to enjoy this wonderful concert. As always, our concerts feature a complementary reception and free parking with validation.
Decoda was founded in 2012 by musicians who first collaborated as members of Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the NYC Department of Education. Its work as an ensemble has grown out of this collective training, which focused on developing skills as exemplary performers, dedicated teachers, and passionate advocates for music in communities around the world.
