Biking Through History and Nature

President James K. Polk State Historic Site

Join volunteers Jim Ryder and Ed Davis, retired educators, at the President James K. Polk State Historic Site for a bike tour of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway to learn about the history and ecology of the Little Sugar Creek. This easy ride will take visitors north along the greenway as Ed and Jim lead this informative ride. Helmets are required. This program is for ages 12+ and limited to ten riders.

Parking & Transit

From Interstate 77 south of Charlotte take Interstate 485 East (Exit 65-B). At the Pineville exit take Polk Street south through the town of Pineville for about two and one half miles. The President James K. Polk State Historic Site is on the left.

Parking is FREE.
