Dark & Divine Pop-up exhibition features figurative art by Charlotte artists Dasia Hood, CHD:WCK!, Dionna Bright, Bryan Wilson, Dru Swan, Adam Hamilton, and Ida Mae. The exhibition is part of Harvey B. Gantt's Art After Dark Program, which includes a cash bar, music, and an artist panel. It is free and open to the public ages 21+.
About Dark & DivineDark & Divine is a collaborative artist model experience designed and developed by figure model and creative entrepreneur Dasia Hood for the Black community.
The experience makes appreciation and expressions of Black nudity and representations of Black bodies in art accessible through education and exposure. Using figurative art and creative writing as vehicles, Hood collaborates with artists and arts organizations to produce a figurative series, including workshops, discussions, and exhibitions.
