Middle School Painting 1.0

This 6-week class for middle school students will focus on painting techniques in both realism and abstract works. Students will use their understanding of the principles and elements of art to create a body of paintings in their own personal style. Students will explore watercolor painting, acrylic painting, a la prima techniques, and underpaintings with glazing. No experience is required, and we encourage a willingness to try new things and make mistakes. By the end of the class, students will have confidence in creating their own art, have a variety of painting techniques to draw upon, and have created a body of works in their individual style!

Students with some experience can also take this class, and we will tailor the projects to be individualized for their level.
