You don’t need a passport to Time Travel to the 16th Century! Come as you are or dress as your favorite time traveling character inspired by movies, TV, comic books, science fiction and/or fantasy - all costume genres welcome! 

Win FREE Tickets for a return visit (and other prizes too) in the Time Traveler’s costume contest! Contest starts at 3pm for children and adult contest to follow immediately after at the Haven (located beyond the Edgewood Theatre).

Children ages 5-12 are FREE with a donation of school supplies at the Festival entry (ages 4 and under always free). Supply drive benefits Classroom Central - provider of supplies to hundreds of underfunded schools across the region. Adults accompanying children on “free child admission” promotional dates must already have a ticket if event date has sold out.

Parking & Transit

From Charlotte: Take Interstate 85 North to Exit 52 West (Poplar Tent Road). Follow Poplar Tent Road about 5 miles to the Festival entry on the left. The entrance road will be just before the intersection of Highway 73. Or Take Interstate 77 North to Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Greensboro: Take Interstate 85 South, just past Kannapolis to Exit 55 west (NC 73). Follow the signs west 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn left onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Winston-Salem: Take Interstate 40 to Interstate 77 South. Take Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. Speedway Traffic: If the Festival coincides with an event at the speedway, Interstate 77 can be used as an alternate route for Interstate 85.
