Carolina Renaissance Festival

Already the Carolinas' largest costume party, the Carolina Renaissance Festival becomes the place to celebrate Halloween! Enjoy FREE Child Admission with no coupon required for all children ages 12 and under. Free child tickets are made available online at www.carolina.renfestinfo.com/buy-tickets with date selection of October 28 or October 29. Children must have a ticket. Adults accompanying children must already have a ticket if event date has sold out.

Children and parents alike enjoy the fun and safe trick or treating experience with free treats to be found at over 100 locations throughout the Festival Village. And pick up your Hungry Howie’s Halloween Treasure Map at the Front Gate and search the village for the Queen’s Treasure Chest filled with prizes! 

Win Free Tickets for a Return Visit (and other prizes too)! Children and adults are also encouraged to show off their Halloween costumes and enter the Halloween Costume Contest! All costumes are welcome! Contest starts at 3:00 at The Haven (beyond the Edgewood Theatre) Huzzah!

In addition, a full day of regular Festival entertainment is complimented by the Knights of the Living Dead zombie jousting challenge happening three times daily throughout Halloween weekend. And don't forget, the Festival is a great place to buy your Halloween costume or costume accessories!

Parking & Transit

From Charlotte: Take Interstate 85 North to Exit 52 West (Poplar Tent Road). Follow Poplar Tent Road about 5 miles to the Festival entry on the left. The entrance road will be just before the intersection of Highway 73. Or Take Interstate 77 North to Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Greensboro: Take Interstate 85 South, just past Kannapolis to Exit 55 west (NC 73). Follow the signs west 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn left onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. From Winston-Salem: Take Interstate 40 to Interstate 77 South. Take Exit 25 east (NC 73). Follow the signs 5 miles to Poplar Tent Road. Turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. The Festival entry road will be on your right. Speedway Traffic: If the Festival coincides with an event at the speedway, Interstate 77 can be used as an alternate route for Interstate 85.
