Cooking Demonstration

President James K. Polk State Historic Site

We will host Susie Worcester and her assistants in the Polk Kitchen House the Saturday, April 1 and May 13! They will be publicly available 10 am-3 pm creating wonderful historical dishes.

Learn about historical recipes and cooking techniques from a highly skilled group of cooking historians. The sight smells and sounds of the kitchen will be on display!

This event is free to the public!

Note: Due to health regulations, visitors will not be able to sample.

Parking & Transit

From Interstate 77 south of Charlotte take Interstate 485 East (Exit 65-B). At the Pineville exit take Polk Street south through the town of Pineville for about two and one half miles. The President James K. Polk State Historic Site is on the left.

Parking is FREE.
