HEY YOU!! An Afrostereophonicjourney

Honoring Black History Month, Charlotte’s Off-Broadway presents HEY YOU!! An Afrostereophonicjourney, an award-winning one-man show created and performed by actor/writer/director/producer, and voice talent Brian Daye. Show Dates are Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 at 8 pm and Sunday, February 5 at 2 pm in COB’s Black Box Theater at the VAPA Center, 700 North Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC. Creator Brian Daye states “A prior work-related incident became the foundation of this production. As I wrote it, the HEY YOU!! theme became a highly personal theatrical piece as I traced my background, upbringing, and life-experiences revealed in this one-man play.” It is Mr. Daye’s hope that HEY YOU!! provides impetus to people who are looking to make a positive change in their lives. 

HEY YOU!! won “BEST PERFORMANCE” and “BEST PLAYWRIGHT” from the PEACH Theatre & Film International Festival in Los Angeles in 2022. Brian is also a 2022 Emerging Artists Fellowship Grant Recipient from the Arts and Science Council. HEY YOU!! was performed to sold-out audiences at the 2018 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City and at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius, NC in 2020. 

Actor Karen Abercrombie (Miss Clara from “War Room”) raved about Brian’s production saying “Your show was WONDERFUL. You have inspired me to new heights in countless ways. THANK YOU, BRIAN!!”
