Sensory Beyond Sight Workshop with Davian Robinson

Led by Lead Teacher Davian Robinson, who is blind, dancers in this workshop will remove sight from the equation (by wearing a blindfold or closing their eyes) and dance utilizing other senses. Davian feels that his lack of sight allows him to explore movement with more freedom and less self-judgment; he invites you into this explorative space with him for a deep dive into movement development. He uses play, rigor, and creativity to stretch the imagination, expanding what is possible in our bodies and our understanding of what movement can and should be. This workshop requires dancers to explore their own bodies and make unique choices on what to do and how to do it.
