Teen Art Camp: Cartoon Exploration

Comic, animation, manga, and illustration enthusiasts are welcomed to this camp exploring narrative storytelling through visual art!

This one week comic-based intensive explores the expansive and exciting world of sequential art, cartooning and drawing styles. Students will create original characters and storylines and will learn the techniques and materials used to create professional comic art.

During this camp, students will be escorted throughout downtown Charlotte to take-in the public art, visit local museums, and draw from the surrounding areas. Two instructors will be present during this outdoor time and will escort students back to Spirit Square for pick-up at the end of camp each day.

$300 + $35 registration fee

Aftercare is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $50 per week. Add Aftercare to your cart at check out.

The safety of your camper, along with our faculty and staff, is of utmost importance as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Arts+ is dedicated to following CDC guidelines and recommendations of local health organizations. This includes required mask-wearing for all camp participants, temperature checks upon arrival, social distancing, small-group activities, well-ventilated indoor spaces, and frequent sanitizing of hands and surfaces.
