Create Your Own Quilt

Saturday, May 25, 2019 @ 10:00am
McColl Center for Art + Innovation

Alumna artist Beverly Smith will help you create a miniature quilt by learning to transfer photo images to fabric, sew hand-machine stitches, and add dimension with embellished quilt tops. You are encouraged (but not required) to bring a photograph of an ancestor, bits of cloth, ribbons, buttons, and/or beads that have sentimental value. (Copies will be made from photographs; originals will be returned.) You’ll leave this workshop with your very own quilt.

All materials are provided. Sewing machine experience not required. Adults and teenagers are welcome.

McColl Center Members: $50
Non-members: $55
