Loose Leaves
Loose Leaves is a biannual, weekend-long choreographic showcase that provides a professional performance space for local choreographers to share their ideas with an audience. We strive to accept all choreographers aged 16+ regardless of experience or dance genre. Aside from the pandemic, Loose Leaves has served artists and audiences since 2014.
Salena Mable Stamp founded Loose Leaves in 2014 when she identified a need for local choreographers to present their work to live audiences. She produced the showcase until the spring of 2022.
Each Loose Leaf is a unique experience. An example of a Loose Leaves performance could include African dance, belly dancing, ballet/pointe, ballroom, Brazilian Samba, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and traditional Indian. The showcase incorporates dancers at many levels: seasoned professionals, local ensembles, college professors, and seniors.
