Carolina Raptor Center

Birds have inspired humans for thousands of years sparking storytelling in mythology, religion and culture, inspiring scientific advances in product design, conservation and flight, as well as engaging the imaginations of artists of all mediums. Carolina Raptor Center seeks to engage humans in the appreciation of birds and all they bring to life through interactive exhibits and programming throughout the year. Get connected with the natural world at our 57-acre Raptor Trail and birds of prey hospital and be inspired.

$10 - Seniors, Teachers, Military Adults
$8 - Students 4 and Older with Student ID
Free – Children 3 and Under and Members

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays from November 1-March 31.

Parking & Transit

From I-77 at Exit 16B/Sunset Road West Take 77 North to exit 16B, Sunset Road. Take a right on Beatties Ford Road. Go 5 miles. Take a left on Sample Road and head straight into Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Carolina Raptor Center is .7 miles on your left.

From I-77 at Exit 18/WT Harris Blvd Take 77 North to exit 18, W.T. Harris Blvd. At the top of the exit ramp, take a left onto W.T. Harris Blvd. Go 1.6 miles. Take a left onto Mt.Holly-Huntersville Road. Go 1.3 miles. Turn right onto Beatties Ford Road. Go 1.6 miles. Turn left onto Sample Road and head straight into Latta Plantation Nature Preserve.
